Listen up guys, I've got it bad. I'm having serious withdrawals from US 129, otherwise known as The Tail of the Dragon. I attended "Wake the Dragon 2008" back in April and it was one of the best experiences of my life! I've been dying to go back, but the next S2K event at the dragon (Dragon Ball Run 2008) isn't until September! I've decided that I just can't wait that long for another dose of the dragon.... SOOOO I'm playing with the idea of doing a summer trip. I'm talking it over with a few friends of mine and I'm working out all the details. I know that this is a long shot, but might anyone be interested?
The miata club makes a yearly trip up there. I don't know when but it may be sooner than the s2k club. www.mardigrasmiata.net
That's an interesting idea.... although I wouldn't want anyone confusing my S2000 for a Miata. I HATE that!
When I lived in Atlanta, I would purposely work late. After work, I go to the Dragon. Don't wait for the next club event; go by yourself and enjoy the journey as much as the destination.
