WOW! Great Pix! That is definitely a great Route 66 drive!

I have a few pix of the cars from the Saturday Night gathering at that same circle. Just a few Ferrari's. Including an F40, and a Blue Daytona. But also some really beautiful Auburns, Cords and Duesenbergs. Three extremely rare "Baldwin Motion" Corvettes. Lots of neato stuff.

The next day, at the race. We had spectacular seats in the Paddock area. About 15 rows back from the wall. At the Start/Finish Line, and directly across from Schumi's garage and the Pit area.

My first F1 Race, and actually my first time at Indy, (an experience shared with my son...:) ) My impressions: VERY COOL! But, being a bit spoiled by the TV coverage of today, where you can see the action all over the track and know whats going on....It was... different.

Would I do it again? Absolutely!

We didn't take our Ferrari down this year, opting for the cushy Full sized Chevy Conversion Van. But, I did like that they had a fenced off parking area just for Ferrari's and other special Exotic Cars. I did not like that I saw them letting anybody in there to look at the cars,(O.K.,fine) posing for pictures by the cars, (again, fine) But people indiscriminately leaning on them and sitting on them....(NOT fine) They really need to watch that more....

But, we really had a great time. I hope that they decide to let it continue on.

I think they figured that out as the day wore on. In the beginning it was open but eventually they padlocked the Ferraris just for that reason. See post #102 in http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=102038

That STP car is Mario's jet car I believe. Saw it running at Goodwood a few years ago. Unique.

I saw at least 6 examples of people brushing up or leaning against the cars in the FCA parking lot. IT was supposed to be "secure". Yeah, right....
