This was the longest trip so far with the 308. This was my 15 trip to Indy, nine "500's", three "Brickyard 400's" and this was my third USGP. The the car ran great and I went through six tanks of Shell V-Power (the only fuel I use).
Got to meet a bunch of nice owners and fans. The car never missed a beat. I made it in time for the Gathering of Ferrari at Monument Circle. On Saturday, I ran to the track with a 308 QV and a Yellow 328. The lot across from the track had about 20 to 30 cars. After the Infinity race ended, I drove over to Brickyard Crossing and was able to visit with some of my friends from the speedway. Then, dinner at St Elmo's where I parked with a black 512 BB and an F-40. On Sunday we had breakfast at the Speedway Motel and went to our seats on the front staright. After the race I left the track at about 3:30 and got home a 2am. I hooked up south of Indy with a NSX and we ran to Bowling Green. South of Nashville I met a Porsche Targa with Hattiesburg plates. We were together to Toscoulsa.
The cars are ment to be used driven. Mine turned over 80,000 on the return trip. I felt like I could have driven another 100 miles! Nothing get noticed like a Ferrari and driving it to Indy was my best trip yet.

Hardcore for sure! We drove straight through 13+ hours from New Orleans on Thurs but stopped in Nashville Sun night. We've done the straight shot home before but it's no fun to dodge racoons and deer at 105mph on that desolate stretch of 59 south of the "Laurel Chicane" ;) LOL!!
