Dear FF crowd In a few gas stations I have trouble filling my FF with gas!, I think it's the fuel dispenser that does not make a good seal or is inserted all the way so won't dispense gas Any ideas, anybody with the same problem?, any solutions? Input will be appreciatted Thanks in advance
Once you've inserted the gas nozzle into the filler neck as far as it can go, lift up on the black vapor recovery part of the gas dispenser nozzle, and the gas will flow. Means you have to stand there and hold it, or, jamb your key underneath. The fob part of the key is just a bit wider/taller than the neck of the fuel inlet neck on the car, and will hold the black recovery bit of the nozzle up just high enough that you can then latch the dispenser on and it'll flow as usual, even shutting itself off at the right time.
We don't need to do that in Ohio, global warming is working too well already with record snowfall this winter. Broke the record by around 20 inches I think. We just let the vapors go and help melt this record snow. Rick
The process Eric describes is right. However, because California is what it is, there are still some stations where I just cannot get the gas pumps to work to fuel either my 458 or FF. I just don't go there.
Glad I don't live in CA - don't have any problems getting gas into my FF. Wait, I just went through several weeks of high snow and the resulting slick roads and salt. Maybe I should live in CA.
Not if you are paying taxes ... they need more freeloaders to add to their self imposed do gooder tax burden. Rick
It's worse than even you may think. Embedded taxes and crazy policies everywhere. Eg., Loony "Cap 'n Trade went into effect a year ago. Electric bill up 17% year over year with the same usage.
Haven't had any issues with filling up with petrol here. Only that it costs around 145 USD to fill up an empty tank. I used to have some issues with the 612 whereby the pump would click and stop itself because the fuel wasn't dropping into the tank fast enough.
