I am troubleshooting exhaust bypass valve failure. I have vacuum pressure in the green areas, none in the red (see attached picture). I am uncertain if there should be vacuum pressure in the red areas at all times or only when the bypass valve is called to open. Can anyone advise?

My understanding is the bypass valve is operated under vacuum and when vacuum is present. Therefore the red line going to the bypass valve should switch between vacuum and no vacuum.

Hi, seems you had the same problem as I did, your little solenoid valves have seized up with corrosion due in part to silly positioning by ferrari and also my guess is build up of moisture over time.
Take off and test, as you power up the solenoid air should pass through, test with a small plastic petrol pipe and blow.
Take a look on my post in the interchangable parts section, from memory you need to ebay search ERG140

    Regards

The vacuum is applied to the areas in red in your diagram via the solenoid valves. It is not uncommon to have these stick or the electrical connections corrode. A good cleaning helps.

    The valves are #8 below.....

Does anyone know the correct voltage to the solenoids?

Are they getting voltage during idle?

I think my inward solenoid with the black plug bit the big one

Goodness, I hope it is 12 volts.

I pulled mine and cleaned them on the bench and tested them with a 12 volt source.....

Same here, I do get 6 volts at the outer solenoid, thats why I ask

Another quicky, is the outer plug the blue one? I have a black and a blue plug want to make sure I did not mix them up

    Thanks much :)

Both solenoids are the same 12v

No they dont get voltage until the ECU powers them up at a set throttle load.
