With only five races into an extended season and one podium finish, the negativity seems to abound. Look at what's occurred: fans have become whiney; Todlt should be removed; dump a tire manufacturer; Michael's retirement and successor; Michael's recruiting a new Ferrari team.

It seems to me that the Ferrari team is working together to resolve a situation that has some flaws. It's VERY apparent in comments made by Michael:

“The season's opening races have proved just how much can change during a single weekend and how quickly they can change,” pointed out Schumacher. “So, I'll say it once more: the season is a long one and lots could still happen.

"Those who consider us to be out of the running do not know us," he warned. "We will not be swayed by all the worry. We will work calmly on our weak points and we will get back to being competitive as soon as we can."

So, where are the true tifosi? those of us with loyalty to our team are definitely out there and will continue to show our support of our team and encourage them onto victory.

Michael's comments above illustrate a very valuable lesson in life (one we learned first hand thru our little foal Emma) ->
DON'T GIVE UP, DON'T EVER GIVE UP.

I think it is shameful to try to place blame after such radical changes in F1 like the ones that took place over this last winter. Ferrari is adjusting as Michael said and they will be back racing up front. San Marino has proven that very much. From 14 to finish 2nd. Need I say more?

I will be happy to wait till the last race and see where they stand then. Besides I will believe in their ability past this season and into the next.

I remember the late 80s and early 90s when Ferrari struggled. I didn't go and pick another favorite team, I knew they would come back and they have. This is no different, its been a rough start but soon enough they will be back to winning. F1 without Ferrari is like a car without tires, it doesn't go anywheres.

Ferrari will comeback with a vengeance!!! I will cheer them on no matter what... Ferrari forever. I am very biased, I want boring races where Ferrari wins.

Schumacher's contract ends by the end of the 2006 season, and he will be 37 y/o I believe, this is a fact. I think it would be unwise for Ferrari to "worry about it when the time comes". This is no different compare to speculating who is going to be drafted first and who is going to be drafted where as in the NFL and in the NBA. Except that Ferrari has not been know for drafting rookies, they tend to go after fairly well established drivers.

As I have posted before on other threads, I think MS should be allowed to race for as long as he wants, considering what he had done for Ferrari. I don't think he is the type that will try to hang-on even know that he is no longer able to do his job, because that would not only put his own life but other driver's life in harms way as well.

    There is still 14 GP's ...

MS can go get 7+ wins and be a serious contender for the championship.
    Who knows what will happen...

Barring a 1982 or 1994 situation I think his chances are very slim. Alonso can switch into points collecting mode whereas Michael would have to win a lot to make up the gap. Granted this year the competition is numerous with Kimi, Jenson and Trulli in addition, but that argument also goes against Michael. Everybody will steal points from each other

I don't believe Ferrari can get either championship. If Ferrari or Michael got one or both it would be one of the best championships ever.

Yes, Schumacher can still win the championship but the run needs to start now. I thought, "well, let's get it going" prior to Spain. The DNF didn't help.

The Scuderia need to start winning, now. The season isn't getting any shorter even with so many races remaining.

If there is one man that can do it, it's Michael. If he has reliable, even average, equipment, he will do it.

There is some great posting's here folks
    .
I believe in my heart that Schuy can still win this champ, even though my head say's it over..

I was at the GP in spain, and when schuy was slowly climbing up the positions, looking like he might get a 3rd, i thought that he could still be in with a chance for the champ, as the Spanish track is a real test for tires, and the ferrari should perform much better at the other tracks in europe. But when his rear/front blew (he went off right in-front of me) i knew then that it is probebly all over :( . I really hope i'am wrong, but the McLaren's and Renault's are looking very strong, i doubt that ferrari will be able do much about them until its too late.
I'am not expecting ferrari to go well at monaco either, you need a top pole slot to been in with a chance of winning there. i don't think the Bridgestone's will have it in them, for the last few years they have gone poorly there. So monaco looks like it will be anther hand full of points to McLaren and Renault, lets hope not......

I hear ya.' RB is the most underrated driver in F1. I think it's overlooked how he contributes to the Constructor's Title. Michael, alone, couldn't even win that.

...and now, a small tribute to Rubens Barrichello (a couple of my shots from the '03 USGP):

Scuderia Ferrari till I die... If I have to wait another 2 decades till the next Ferrari World Championship, then I will. Something inside me says that this year is far from over.
