I watched the post race interview with Pat Symmonds and it wasn't a pretty picture. Furthermore Trulli's seat is not confirmed for next year and this mistake will not help it either. Trulli is in truble, err trouble.
i sure wouldn't want to work for briatore.....sounds like a complete bastard. not saying he doesn't have the right to be angry with trulli, but he will just rip him apart.....
He might be a bastard (not sure on that though), but remember he built the team around MS, which gave MS eventually the tools for his first WC.
looked like driver error around that corner...feel bad for T, but Flavio should not blow his load to hard on him....there was no-one more disappointed in wanting that trophy more than Trulli im sure. Flavio should take it easy on him, whats done is done.....new race this week, keep him motivated in the car maybe he can win this one. You never know.
Problem is, that this was Renault's home race with many invited guests from the factory etc. This was a big blow.
Trulli should be in big trouble! He had third place wrapped up and let his concentration slip and Rubins took advantage and made the pass. He forgot that the race is not over until you pass the finish line. That's a mistake made by amateurs, not F1 drivers. I kinda like Briatore anyway. He's the playboy type that used to fill the ranks of the F1 paddocks.
Braitore is a total a$$ wipe... the only person on the whole team with job security is the clipboard girlie that blew him this morning.......
Don't underestimate the man. He made his name and $$$ by setting up Benetton in the US. Then run the clueless Benetton team and made them two times world champions. Now he is doing his magic again with Renault and maybe soon with Toyota. I've read an article about him, can't say anything about his character (neither good nor bad), but he does have style and is successful in what he is doing.
True, but what difference does it really make....they still are not contenders for the championship,in either driver or constructors so why be an a$$ wipe? Because he can ? Real tough guy....love people in pwr who think they are better than others. At the end of day, when everyone dies and everyone will face death we all end up in a pile of dirt. Thats why, its an error......move on to the next race, cant fix that one. As for the entire factory,,,,back to the drawing board, 3 weeks from now everyone will forget about it except him and Rubens who has the trophy.
...his CHARACTER is exactly what I was referring to.......... Contrast his management style to that of........well, ANY successful, motivated organization, really...lol!
Well, Flavio Briatore is not Renault F1's Team Principal. He is the Managing Director of Renault F1. The Team principal of Renault F1 is Patrick Faure. Patrick Faure is Chairman and CEO of Renault F1. The ultimate authority of dealing with J. Trulli and his contract lies with Patrick Faure. Flavio's role within Renault F1 is very confusing to say none the least. He is almost like the Public Relations spearhead of the team to bring carisma and style to the plain faced Renault Outfit. As you remember Renault were partners in the constructors championship winning teams in 92 and 97. However, their marketing failed to capitalize on this. Now Renault F1 wants to put a public face in the form of Flavio to capture the marketing aspect of becoming a winning team. I know there is not much one can say about his personal character. He is flawed in many ways. But he has a very succesful career in motor sport and is doing the job the Renault F1 team has asked him to do.
Yea, and he's knocked up NO TELLING how many women in the same time period! LOL! He's single handedly increased the European fan base by ....who knows? I think he finally married one...in her third trimester!
By the way..........what the hell is up with Trulli's new fashion statement? That stupid looking bandana and the little Pebbles Flintstone pony tail sticking up? He looks like a f***ing idiot! He should be fired for that stupid get-up alone!
I personally find it hard to believe that they would get rid of trulli - who would they put in his place? I can't really think of someone that would do a better job than he has been and will continue to do - DC maybe, ha.
For Pete's sack ... sport is serious stuff mate, not this whimpy oh he made a mistake, etc. cr@p. That is what you teach your 5 year old children when they play their first game of soccer ... you know winning is not important it is about having fun! Well sorry mate that is BS ... winning is very much important and the PR of having Trulli on the podium would have been enormous for Renault and the 6000 employees. They would have gone to work the next week with the chest pumped feeling like winners ... instead they got fncked by RB. If Trulli cracks under that pressure what good is he to the team. He has single handedly fncked his F1 future with that whimpy bit of driving. All he had to do was block RB for another 6 seconds or something ... He might get points, but he has shown everybody that he has not got what it takes to be a force in any sport. It is mental toughness that makes a sports person not just the skills. Imagine if he was playing for the French soccer team and missed a penalty kick and thus the French team lost ... he would be hanging from a tree by now! If you cannot stand the heat stay away from the fire ... and please forget this childish notion that sport is just a game, it is far more serious than that (if you want think money, Renault spent I imagine something like $100 million puting Trulli in that position ... and he goes soft on them, would you be happy?). Pete's opinion
Wow, Psk... Thanks for getting that in perspective...now fire Trulli and get Briatore another pit hottie in there...his wife's gonna be out of commission for awhile...... I think he's swelling up right now......wow, that's the biggest one I've ever seen, no doubt about it! He couldn't pour pis$ out of a boot, with instructions printed on the bottom of the heel...........
I'd like to see you "block for six seconds, or something" with RB on YOUR as$ in this year's car.....get real. You can drive the Renault. I'll take the red car... I guess being disqualified for an illegal blocking manuever would have been preferred? He was toast any way ya cut it. Most likely wide in the first place due to lack of grip ....spent, old tires.
Disclaimer: Speedy308 did not see the move therefore knows not a bit of what he speaks...... and really likes Psk for his entertaining posts on this site...... I do think Favio is a wanker...but then I know real gentlemen, to measure his behavior against them.
