    Where, if there is, the mechanical truck and hood release for these vehicles in case the electrical systems don't operate.
    Any illustrations would be appreciated.

    Simply reach into the rear passenger seat 'pocket ' underneath the rear side window and feel for a plastic coated loop of wire and tug to release the boot. If it is on the same side as mine it will be on the drivers side of LHD vehicles or passenger side of RHD vehicles.

    For ease of use I have attched an additional handle - a rock climbing 'thing' that is more user friendly.

    There are two emergency hood releases, one on each side underneath the dash by each door that are small loops of plastic covered cable.

    You didn't ask, but there also is an emergency fuel door release, which is a bronze colored lever that peeks out from the wheel well carpet inside the trunk.
