To use the battery conditioner you need to plug it in to a (in Europe) a 220v supply. This means the power lead is either inside or outside of the truk depending on where the coditioner sits. Either way it means that you have a cable passing over the trunk seal. If you shut the trunk properly then the lead could deform the seal especially if you if it sits there for a couple of months over the winter. Leaving the trunk lid "ajar" means the trunk light stays on which you certainly don't want for no other reason than it generates a lot of heat.

Or does the lamp go off after a while?

Might seem trivial but neither situation is good.

    Any thoughts?

Caspian- This is where Ferrari recommends placing the cord for the least seal damage. They do say to be careful of the seals, though.

Any other suggestions for storage on my 612 for a five month time period other than charger? Will be in Arizona storage, dry climate but up to about 90+ degrees at times during summer inside.
    thanks,
    John

Yikes - thats a long time with that much heat. My 612 has two heat leather related issues that the factory is taking care of. The leather pulled slightly from the dash and the real shelf. Suggest a conditioned / controlled storage facility.

That is just the potential highs, not that hot all the time. I normally leave several cars stored in the aircraft hangar at the house during the summer, never any issue with them or the airplane. Have always just had batt tenders on the others. No sun on anything at all, block walls that can heat up but never over 90 at highest, cooler at night too.

Mercedes E63 leather has always been ok
