After comparing with omgjon's 246GTS a few days ago, my trunk layout is somewhat different. It looks like someone's taken a hacksaw to the fiberglass and then stuck it back together with screws and rivets. The body number's still on the divider between the engine and the trunk, but it sure looks bodged to me. Anyone seen a panel layout like this? If it's messed up, are replacement panels available?

Mark, you have a European GTS and Jon`s GTS has a late US-model trunk.....

So the trunk floor of a '73 Euro GTS was three pieces then? And the wall dividing engine and trunk has a center panel secured with screws and what looks like a bunch of adhesive? It looks very roughly put together, but I suppose I shouldn't be surprised :)

Good to know. I had no idea the Euro trunk would be different.

Yes the Euro trunk does not have a level bottom and is different than US trunks.
Dinos have all these subtle differences that make them nearly unique and wonderfully individual!

Can you clarify what you mean by not having a level bottom? Are you referring to the area behind each wheel well being lower than the main, center portion of the trunk floor?

The second bumper mounting rods required for USA bumpers are mounted on a horizontal cross member. This intrudes on the typical Euro trunk bottom and explains why the USA has a different contour.
