So I just replaced my frunk straps and now the trunk won't open. I hear the actuator working but it's not popping the latch.

Any ideas how I can get this open to fix it?

I found the hood release cable but the actuator still won't actually pop the hood.

Any idea if this is something I can mess with or if I need to just replace it?

what are frunk straps?? I've never seen any straps in any of my Ferraris... are you just talking about the straps around the tool case and tire pump?

See if you can open it with a bi directional code reader. Try pushing down of the frunk lid while activating it with your key. maybe something is binding the locking
mechanism. and pushig the lid down will unload the binding somewhat. Ive tried the underdash cable pull but mine was frozen. GL with this.

    You got there eventually.

I have no idea what a bi directional code reader is. Unless youre talking about Turing.

I tried pushing down while hitting the button, but still nothing. My emergency under dash cable works fine as does the in trunk handle. Looks like Im taking the tub out again. Joy

In my experience a bidirectional code reader is something like a ThinkDiag or Leonardo code reader that can issue individual commands to operate various components irrespective of the switch that controls them. I found it handy for tracing down inoperative switches and stuff, e.g. my own trunk would not respond to the switches but would respond to a ThinkDiag to open the trunk. There is probably something jamming/blocking the solenoid travel to completely clear the latch / locking bar on the frunk lid. I suspect you will probably find something after the tub removal.
