    I've been searching but haven't been able to find a definitive answer;

    Is it possible that an ABS Mondial came with the TRX/390 setup from the factory? I thought all 88's came with 16" wheels, especially the ABS cars.

    Thanks,

    See page 16 in the 481/87 OM for 1988 US Mondial 3.2 -- indicates both 390mm and 16" wheels were available.

    PS I wouldn't take that reference you posted as gospel -- Mondial 3.2 did not have Bosch Motronic 2.5 injection, and Mondial t didn't use Microplex ignition.

    That's true, but I was under the impression that the 88 cars with the optional ABS had 16 inchers.

    Are you saying that all euro cars, even with abs, came with 390s?

    I haven't looked in awhile but I surmise that every car has a sticker on it somewhere stating the correct tire size and pressure.

    Can't verify for sure, but I think you're correct. By 1988, the TRX was pretty much dead meat, so I think most cars(especially in the U.S.) were delivered with the 16" wheels/tires, altho I suppose one could specify TRX.
