Don't mind if I have to pay for it, that isn't a concern and not trying to circumvent that---Just want to put the songs on a cd or download them to my ipod. Trying to figure out if it is possible. I have messaged the band, but they have yet to respond. The songs are not available on itunes, amazon, yahoo, etc. They are a local band from 25 yrs ago and they have not played together in years...

    Try this:

    http://www.simplehelp.net/2008/12/12/download-or-rip-music-from-facebook-profiles-to-mp3-files/

I've never used it, but it seems like it should work.

    Robbie,

This is for the Mac and Safari. If you don't have a Mac and Safari, and haven't figured it out, report back, and I'll get them for you. This worked well for me.

Just so you know. The files are a bit small. They are probably 80kbps or something, about half of normal MP3 size. But they sound fine. And of course, this is just until you get a hold of the band to buy real copies.

Click on one of the songs so its playing. Then open the activity window of Safari (window, activity)

You will see a list of a bunch of things going on. But it will be easy to see a larger file, around 1.8-2MB. That is your song you are playing (see the highlighted file in a group of smaller files?).

Hold down the option key on your keyboard and double click on the file. It will now download (the download window of Safari will open and it will download) and you can transfer it to your ipod the normal way, maybe you will have to rename it.

It sounds complicated, but it's pretty easy. Just don't forget to press the option key when you double click.

This is a tricky problem. Has the suggestions work already? I'm used to listen music online (like on youtube, or myspace), but if you're on the way to somewhere this doesn't help. Although I think it's strange that the band doesn't respond. I mean, don't they want to sell their music and gain money?
