Hi everybody I see there is a lot of skilled artists in here. So i thought i would share some of mine too. I'm new with drawing cars. But i'm trying. Hope you like'em BTW... these drawings are made with charcoal only. Image Unavailable, Please Login
WOW!! Very nice!!! The black and white with the intake on the side looks awesome!! How did you get that on the net, scanning it?? It kind of looks more like a drawing from a computer program, but awesome drawing nonetheless!!!
Thanks No they are too big for my scanner... so i photographed them and erased the light spots in the corners on my pc I sometimes draw on my pc too... with some kind of a mouse pen... but it's very difficult though... So i'll stick to my charcoals
aaand a 250GTO this is the last one.... the only 3 drawings i have made of cars I normally don't draw cars... soo... But i hope more will come... at least i'm having fun drawing them Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks I'll try to get time and energy to make many more I also do paintings (not cars) etc... so sometimes i paint more than i draw.. and sometimes it's the other way around.
I find this seriously fantastic. It is totally different from my style. I am very detaildriven in my drawings (but not as much as your hubby is ) but I absolutly love how you manage to capture the essence of your subject with a minimum of charcoal strokes. I would hang these on my wall, and I wouldn´t even hang my own drawings on my wall! Terrific stuff.
WOW you just made me very happy Thank you for that. I will never be able to draw like my hubby..never He's very good in details...and i'm really not. I have never been good at that. So both my paintings and drawings are some kind of "Minimalism" Thanks
VERY nice work... i used to do alot more ink work myself. I've always love the "pureness" of it.. using only black and white to convey different materials and textures... wonderful pieces you have there... GT
With what did you do your ink work??? I know what you mean...i like that black and white stuff too Easy to look at! Thanks for the kind words
Both you and your hubby have a great eye for proportion and overall shape. Especially with a shape of a Ferrari, it is easy to go wrong. The shape is so sensitive, every little line, corner or curve even a little out of place, steps out as a huge flaw in the drawing. And you only notice it once youre done.... Besides that, it is a great talent to capture the essence without having to lean heavy on details that lure the eye away from the overall form. Please be noted though that your Hubby´s drawings are all perfect on overall shape. His details are merely icing on the cake and with your drawings, the cake is great without any icing whatsoever. Ok, enough with the metafors! Show us more when you can.
i used Koh-i-noor technical pens... kinda expensive.. especially the ones with the jewel tip.. but i used to do a lot my ink work on mylar. WONDERFUL stuff to ink on... nice clean lines.. but theres a cost.. to a regular pen thats akin to using a pencil on sandpaper... the pen's junk after 5 or 6 drawings... so naturally its a sensible choice if you want to use mylar on an ongoing basis... anyways... congrats again on your great work.. keep it up! and keep posting 'em.. love to see 'em!! GT
Hi ooow Koh-I-Noor... i used to use their charcoal... but they don't make'em anymore *sigh* they were THE best. So now i have only ONE charcoal pencil left... and i haven't found a new one that is as great as Koh-I-Noor I'll continue for sure... at least as long as i have my pen
