A good friend of mine just lost her husband to cancer and he left her a 1976 F33a Beachcraft Bonanza in fantastic shape. It is very nice plane with alot of upgrades. Im not a plane person but would like to help her on value, are these plane worth selling in this economy, etc. Any comments would be great

I'm not an expert but it looks like it is worth perhaps $110k - $140k depending on condition.

Two websites to check for comparative advertisements are:

    - www.globalplanesearch.com (enter "Beechcraft F33A" into the "Search GPS" field and hit the "Go" button.)

    - www.trade-a-plane.com (choose "Airplanes for sale", "Single Engine Piston" and then pick "Beech Bonanza 33" from the list of airplane types in the form).

Putting an ad in Trade-a-plane or one of the for-sale websites referenced on the globalplanesearch site's ads would be the place to sell it as a private party sale.

Another option it to consider selling it through an airplane broker. Pilots at your local airport can give you a reference to a nearby broker.

    Good luck.

    Others are:

    Controller.com

    ASO.com

Most brokers (like us) charge 6% for representing an airplane.

Some questions they will ask for, and would be handy if you had them ready to answer,
    1-hours on the airframe
    2-hours on the engine
    3-type of engine overhaul
    4-annual status
    5-damage history
    6-avionics installed (and properly documented)
    7-completeness of the logbooks
8-ADs and SBs (Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins)

I have a basic appraisal worksheet I can send you. Message me your address if you are interested.

FYI, I can rep the airplane but it would have to be moved to Dallas.
