I ordered the car with a brown leather dash. Up to that point, they did not put leather on the dash. 24399 was the first 308 with the leather dash. They did not want to do it at first. They finially agreed and charged about 2000 dollars for it. The car at the time was about 36m dollars

This is a USA delivered car: June 30, 1978 (I have some Pics some place.) MSO from Ferrari states. May 22, 1978 . Probably the finish date. Exterior Marrone "Dino" 106.M.73 Interior Seats & Doors: Tabacco (Tan) VM 846 Dash and Trim Leather: Testa de Moro "Dark Brown" VM 890 Car was special ordered In March of 1978 and delivered in The U.S. In June!! 3 months start to finish.
