Over a decade ago (maybe two decades) i saw at Bill DeCarr's shop in Bellflower, CA him working on a Bizzarrini SI targa. I don't think it was called a GT5300, not a converted GT5300 but built ground up to be a targa. Anyway my .foggy recollection is that it belonged to a Howard Turnley of Oakland Ca who restored it and sold it at an auction to its present owner. I wonder who imported it from Italy and sold it to Mr,. Turnley? At some poInt it had a smashed nose I was wondering if it was imported with this damage or if that happened in the US If you're wondering why I need to know, I'm profiling the first Bizzarrini targa and trying to sort out the history of its two sister cars. I have published 18 books on car history.
