    We I am getting closer to buttoning my rear up and I received a rubber channel from Cicognani and most makes sense. One that has stumped me is this u shaped rubber. My best guess is that it goes up the rain channel but that doesn't leave any room for the water to go.

    Also I have noticed in pictures of other cars that the rubber going down either side vertical rail sealing the trunk bends down and ends at the flats surface at the top side of the licence plate pan sheet metal. Problem is my vertical rail that the rubber pinches too ends. you can see it in the top picture. is this correct? Or is my car supposed to have the corner block foam on the trunk lid itself to seal that area?

    That rubber goes glued to the underside of the trunklid along the back part only. The 'U' seals to the molding that is on the body around the opening. Sorry but I have no pics

    Thanks and the pics make total sense. I understand how they are installed and how it should seal. Only problem is I have seen and received #8 seal with my kit. Now I had the fire wall to trunk back original seal in my car which was the foam seal.

    Here is pics on the other side. If I need to get the foam rubber I will I guess it would 45 at the edge somehow?
