    Just saw the latest path and that sucker is almost if not by now a hurricane and it is drunk!! I keeps veering Larry and the Texas coast could very well get a direct hit.

    How does Larry feel about that? :D

    I'm guessing we'll get fewer showers than we need. My vote is it moves back to the East after it whacks our friends in New Orleans.

    I have not checked any updates concerning the latest path but man that sucker was looking like it could go either way this morning. A big yepper Mitch we could use the water. I wonder how or if it will effect the races this weekend at MSR?

    I use Boat US website, go there, click on "Tracking" and you can see what is called the Spaghetti Model.

    It shows every possible track, given current computer modeling technology.

    It quite colorful...and it also shows NO WAY this storm will ever reach Tejas.
    We are on the "dry side", given rotation...

    Surfs up!!!

    Inland track, sure, but landfall is considered the 'hit" with highest winds, storm surge etc.

    There's not even much surf in Galveston, so pretty much a 'non event' for coastal Tejas...

    So...what's everyone paying for gas today? I saw it for $3.75 today at an Exxon. IIRC, it was about a quarter cheaper a few days ago in my area, but the closing of rigs in the Gulf have made the price of gas go up.
