Anyone seen this one before? Supposedly taken from a high-rise in Phuket

Photoshop or not ? If real, helps a bit with the understanding of how devastating this would become....

I would think the pic basis would be real, meaning that they water was comiing over the road, but that huge wave, no that is a PS. Considering on how dark the water is, and compare it to the building right near the waterfront, that wave would have been over 120ft high. The Tsunami was not over 40 ft.

And I don't think that Tsumani's crest either, I think it is a big wall of water.

I tend top think it's a photoshop too, but wanted to throw it out for you guys to see...Agree, this is the first I've heard of waves supposedly getting that high -but - it's also the first time I've seen a 'photo' from high up like this. all the newsreel footage I saw was from inland taken by tourists and the like. Plus, with the varying depths of the water, maybe it's possible for waves to be this high. The shallower the water near the shore, the larger the waves have the potential to become....

    That's an obvious photoshop.

The breakdown: Look at the size of the wave relative to the size of the buildings; extremely exaggerated. The color, brightness and contrast of the wave doesn't seem to go with the city. Cars are cruising by and no one is running; im sure if someone spotted a wave that big then people would be warning others to run.

BUT this on the other hand IS Real. ;) :p

    Photoshop IMO

If you want a REAL pic of the wave that puts it into perspective taken from a Chopper, look no further than this....

That's not from the Tsunami either :) - That is from China and that is something that is predicted every now and then, people come to watch that wave hit. It's a tourist attraction.

I saw the picture a few days ago and I was amazed. But then they told me it is pshop. The reason being the Tsunami wave does not break the way it has in the picture posted. The Tsunami wave is like a wall of water...

    The Denmark-Australia exchange!

    Jonas.
Are Danish chicks easy in Denmark like they are in Australia?
No offense to Denmark there, cause i know that Aussie chicks are among the easiest in the world!!

The picture i posted earlier is obviously not my receptionist. She is much better in R/L!! I dont feel like going to court claiming to sell my reception to Jonas!

That photo is a joke.....as noted, the wave from the earthquake did not break as a normal wind swell would....

Also, note the height appears equal to a twenty story high rise. Assuming a minimum of 13' -15' floor to floor that would make that wave over 150' tall.

While 100' foot waves have been found and even ridden (Step Into Liquid), they don't break onto onshore beaches that way.

Looks like a poster from a disaster film or something...... we had a nice 8' swell breaking this morning....blew out after lunch in the face of offshore winds.........
