    I have recently installed the (one off prototype) Tubi crosspipe on my 550 and I must say, it has given my car a completely different personality. Not only is it about half again as loud as it was with just the Tubi mufflers, it absolutely SCREAMS when I take it to the redline. It sounds like a track car. A friend of mine (MIke550) has the Fuchs on his and he tells me he cannot hear his own car when I am next to him!

    The thing is much lighter than the stock center resonator. It only took 1 1/2 hours to install.

    ;) If you have the means, I highly recommend you pick one up!! ;)

    Far from a Ferrari V-12, but I had a Dr. Gas X-pipe installed on my Mustang 5.0 rally car in Australia when I lived there and it totally changed the sound as well - love to hear your 550 flyby sometime!

    That was fixed begining in 2002. They changed the packing/baffle system. This only makes it louder from what Darth is saying :) oh, and I have talked to him while he is driving it, and it is LOUD now.

    I just can't imagine how you can tolerate it louder than just with the Tubi rear end mufflers. Mine is loud enough and when I take long trips of more than an hour or so, the constant throng starts to bug me.
    It has got to be hellaciously loud with the middle straight pipes.

    It isn't any louder when just cruising on the HWY. But when I downshift and mash the throttle it's absolutely hair raising!

    I believe this is the same one or something similar that Dave (maranelloman) installed on his 550 recently. I heard it this morning, and of course smelled it. *whew* But damn, it sounds unreal! Too kick ass! Forget being subtle about having a 12, this tells all!
