It is loud but on a 348 it is about the coolest sound you'll ever hear from a V8 Ferrari. I know a guy who has one on his and at a track event with just Ferraris I can always tell when he's out with my back turned.

I have a Tubi exhaust and Hyperflow cats on my 348 spider. It is loud but in a good way. Just rolling down the freeway with the top down and windows up you can have a reasonable conversation but when you downshift and stomp on it, stop talking....

    Cheers

Tubi is too expensive and has only 1 year warranty. Check out timevalve.

I will be the first to agree that Tubi is way over priced. However, with that being said, the sound the Tubi emits on my car definitely justifies the price in my oppinion. I have entered my 348 in several car shows since the installation and have been told by many that the sound puts the other cars (other 348's, F355's, 360's, etc.) to shame.

If I were you, I would solicit sound clips from other exhaust suppliers (Stebro, Quicksilver, Capristro, Mille Miglia, Koenig, etc.) and make the decision for yourself. Everyone will have their favorite, however the ultimate decision for sound should be your own.

    Just my $.02

    John,
I had a 348 before I bought my TR. The TR has special exhausts, but the sound is not as throaty or as load as with the Tubi. My neighbors across the street (Ferrari guy) could always tell when I started the 348. The Tubi system will give around 10 more HP too! Do it.
    ciao,
    Jim

Go with the Tubi.I had 1990 348ts.My opinion,it's not "too" loud.maybe in a spider it might be alittle boomy.Better throttle response and increased milage.Sounds much better than stock.I get 22mpg crusing 80-85mph with the Tubi and 19mpg with the OEM exhaust.

I have a tubi on my 348 with cats and I get compliments on the sound all the time. Not too loud, but a great throaty sound. No sneeking in late at night with the tubi!!

John, no offense taken. several people emailed wanting it. If unahppy as well with the purchase i will refund as I am not desperate to sell it or for the money for that matter. I am new to the ferrari chat site. I got a 355 and have been spending a bit more time reading threads. I was not aware that you could (join) so to speek. I thought by registering I did so. I will start a profile and subscribe. Thanks anyway for any and all input/interest

As far as sound goes I think nothing beats the Tubi sound on the 348 without cats. To me its the closest thing you can get to the tunnel at Monoco and still can make the hair stand up on your neck....or your neighbors dogs go insane! :)

As far as loud here are the decible reads I had jotted down for my exhaust variants 2 years ago when I installed it after buying it from a sponsor on the site here.

Stock 2-can exhaust and cats: 78DB idle, 92DB full throttle
Tubi and cats: 84DB idle, 99DB full throttle
Tubi and test pipes: 91DB idle, 110DB full throttle

I verified the 110 again last year at the race track as it was 112 down the front straight at BIR.

    hopefully that helps you.

Tough to get any recognition when it comes time to sell with out the OEM set up or the Tubi. I put mine one 5 years ago and I love it!!!! People in the area always come out when the car is running. Awesome sound!!
