Guys, I have been searching the archives but I can't find any sound files of a 456M with a Tubi. I recently testdrove a '99 456M GT (grigio nurburgring with nero). I was very impressed by the performance of the car. Every time I changed gear the ASR light started flickering. The looks might be a bit "quiet", but it drives like a proper 12 cylinder Ferrari. It's very fast! Only the sound was not so impressive. Of course I am not looking for the same symphony as my current 512TR, but it could use some spice. Does anybody have a soundfile or (even better) video of a 456M with a Tubi? Thanks, Ton
I test drove four 456GTs before settling on the one I bought. One of the four I drove had a Tubi (don't know whether it had cat bypass too - I suspect not, it would not pass yearly emissions testing in the UK without cats I would have thought). Whilst above 3k rpm it sounded fantastic, what I personnally found annoying was the low rumble when the car was moving slowly in town. I guess it's worth getting them sound files, just wish I'd recorded them for you!
I think there is a video of a 456 on the Tubi site. My 456 GT had a Tubi. However, it was still too quiet in the interior. The sound was really behind the car. Great for passers by, but not for the driver. Some Tubis do have a nasty resonance on the 456, mine did not.
Hi ... I have a 97 F456 .. cats removed.. Tubis on .. cam belts are played a little bit.. with chip on.. 550 s run for their money.. super fast and sounds better than f430 with Tubi on.. You may wanna search valtetronics which allow you quite and F1 mode when you need the extra hp and sound as well as quite when you need it. Very happy with current set up.. but emissions is out the window.. smells like a truck if I let it run in the garage.
