Anyone have (NGT / GTC?) Exhaust on their 360?

    - How does it sound like compare to regular TUBI?

    - How does the power compare to regular TUBI?

    - Also the tips looks like the one on 360 Challenge Stradale? Are they chrome or metal polished?

Feedback is much appreciated. I tried to google & search on F-Chat and have no luck.

    Thanks!

Supposedly a lot louder than the normal Tubi. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?p=135574112

It looks like its the most hardcore tubi. Its saves you also 20+ kilos from the OEM exhaust. I am looking for a used one too..

I have NGT with non chromed tipped (not even sure if that is an option) and anything above 5000 rpm, starts to scream like a F1 minus the extra hp and 4 cylinders. Oh and also due to race pipes as well. Other than that after initial warm up, low rpms are quite. Just keep in mind all ears are different.

I have it...loud and just a great note. Especially when dirving in the city while the engine sound bounces off the buildings.

Attached are photos of the exhaust tips (metal polish) and muffler. Im also running Fabspeed straight pipes, and in comparing a stock 360 set up, there is an improvement around performance...and did I mention the sound? I think the struggle would be to find one...

I hate to admit it, but I don't know which Tubi I have but it does start to scream like a F1 after 5000 rpm.

There are only two Tubi versions for the 360, no? The standard version and the NGT. The muffler box sections look completely different, with the above photos of course being the NGT.

To my knowledge there are three systems... but for some reason it's nearly impossible to find out anything from their website or any other source of information.

    Standard Tubi
    Loud Tubi
    GTC

When I bought my used 360, it had a tubi muffler on it, but I was surprised at how quiet it was. At idle it sounded stock and under acceleration, it was louder and better... but definitely not brutal.

I asked the guys at FoSV about this and they said I had the "Standard" system and I wanted the "Loud" system. So I had them order it and right on the box was a label that said "LOUD". They swapped the exhaust systems and man-alive, what a difference. Idle was exotic and acceleration was perfect.

Again... I wish Tubi was more clear about their systems.

Agreed. Just bought a 360 with tubi and I wonder what I have??? Is there any way to tell by looking at the outside?

All i can tell you is that i have no cats and it is pretty loud. I'm happy with what ive got but now I'm curious... How can I tell what tubi muffler i have or will it always be a mystery?

you can at least rule the NGT just by looking at it. You can see by my pictures its about 1/4 the size of the standard TUBI muffler.

NGT only has one exit from muffler on each side. Regular one has 2 exits. Also muffler on NGT is slimer than regular.

its about 1/4 the size of the regular muffler in every way. If you look at my pics above, its not much bigger than the size of a hard cover Websters dictionary. The spot where the stock muffler usually sits becomes completely open...These things are tiny and it would be really obvious to tell the difference between it and any of the other Tubi or stock configs.

A friend of mine recently had a 430 stock muffler put on and left the vacuum lines off...pretty decent inexpensive option. The modification is minimal...done in SoCal over at Raging Bull Performance (ask for Frank). a stock 430 exhaust can be had on EBay for $500.00...and the install might set you back another $500.00 saving a good $3000.00 from these aftermarket options. If I didnt have mine already, this is the way I would do it!

    Ask me about that!!
Now with the bored and ported heads with new cams the car is a lot more louder specially at 4k@7k rpm.

So have we ever figured out if there is a way to tell the regular vs loud? Just got my car and it has a beautiful silver "360 Spider" on it so I know its not the super loud beast some of you guys have (my neighbours and wife would kill me!)

It sounds great, just loud enough to enjoy, not too loud that I get complaints

The louder one is the smaller version (makes sense - size would equal more packing capability). That said, it is manageable in terms of driving style...just like an HD motorcycle idling vs WOT. I can leave with no one knowing, or I can rattle windows and set car alarms off.
