I have a 2001 360 F1 and I'm contemplating putting on a Tubi or similar as I'd like to hear the engine's music more!. However, I've not heard what a Tubi sounds like - though one guy told me they are too loud i.e. shakes the whole house when he starts it.

I'd be interested in any thoughts particularly regarding how loud they really are.

Obviously I'm going to track down a 360 with Tubi to listen to before buying, in the meantime - your views?

They are loud for sure and I have one on my 430 but it was installed there before I bought it.

My mate has one on his 360 and when he told me that he had it on, he said go outside and I'll drive over to my place and listen for the sound.
Well I heard him coming from about 2kms away and 3 minutes or so....it was awesome!

This isn't even a question. Tubi without a doubt, although ANY exhaust is going to sound better than stock. I know better is a subjective term but I can't imagine anyone preferring to stock sound to aftermarket.

I'd do it even if I was deaf for the pleasure of others!

Tubi has a nasty resonance at about 60 mph. Tubi has become so synonymous with Ferrari until that is what most people buy.

But there are other less priced and better sounding options

The only time the Tubi resonates at all IMO is cruising at very low RPM, say 2000 or so. The simple fix is just one downshift away.

Definitely others priced less, better sounding is obviously subjective.

    Away,

What is your cat situation; stock, hi flow or test pipes.

I will see you at the next C&C or event

Stock cats on my car and it sounds delightful IMO. I've been toying with high flows, but haven't made the decision yet.

Yes sir, I'll catch you at C&C. Manny told me about your upgrade. Time to change the username!

Put a Tubi on the 355 and loved it. People in the Fclub followed me just to hear the car. The 360 already had a Tubi when I bought it. One of the things I like best about the car. And I love my Fcar!

You have a local product which is better (sound and performance) and more affordable than the Tubi.
The Mille Miglia sounds better and gives better performance and doesn't have the annoying resonance at 60 MPH.
Even the sound files on our website don't do it full justice.
We can supply them for any Ferrari model anywhere in the world.
This week we are shipping one to an FChat member in Canada.
PM me and I'll organise a demo of a 360 with a Mille Miglia.
    Ciao

When I had my 360, there were sound three levels of Tubi available:

    Stage I
    Stage II
    NGT

Stage I, which came on my car, was stock at idle and mildly aggressive under acceleration

Stage II, which I upgraded to, was loud at idle and amazing under acceleration

NGT, I'm told, is considered too loud for normal use

I loved my Stage II Tubi exhaust. I didn't have hi-flow cats or anything... just bolted the system right onto the OEM cats and it was amazing.

There are a number of other systems out there and a TON of videos on YouTube which will give you an approximation of what they sound like, but nothing compares to hearing them live. You might want to see if there's a local F-Car gathering in your area, go visit and ask around.

its just about right on a coupe.

For short drives, the spider sounds great, on longer drives, its too much, your ears will ring. Literally. The stock exhaust and intake sound is already pretty loud under heavy throtlte.

I have a stage 2 on my CS as the stage 1 was not enough, fab on a coupe but probably not for a Spider, I was leaving work yesterday and a couple of bikers at the back of the garage were shocked when I hit the start button and they were 50ft away

Taz, I would really like to see the exhaust manifold TBS. I just had that done on my car. Interestingly, they did not do the tailpipe TSB. Thanks.
