Ah I see. I think the one you have is the regular Tubi exhaust.

I was interested in the Titanium version, as I currently have the regular Tubi on my 599.

    Hi Decassinelli,

I am curious to know why you are selling it? What components does it consist of? How is the sound?

    All,

I just got back from my mechanic and neosky was correct it is not the Titanium version. It is actually a Tubi Minin Propella system, no big mufflers at all. To answer the other questions, I am putting the original mufflers on because it was very loud, sounded like an F1 race car. When I first bought the car I loved it, however, sometimes I need to bring the wife in the car and it was then annoying:) If you want and unbelieveable sound these are the ones for you. Since they are not the Titanium version, I would take $1,500.

I have secondary cats deleted with straight pipes and that sounds great. I bet if I added your system it would be obnoxious. I would like to hear it though, lol.Probably sounds wicked at 6-8K..Does/did your car have the secondary cats on when this system was on?

The cats were still on. You are right, it was an unbelieveable sound. This is the first day without it and I am missing it already! Women!!!!

Did you put the stock mufflers with valve back on? If so, you may want to consider the Capristo remote valve control module. Its a pretty inexpensive, easy and unobtrusive install and will let you make it loud when you want, and quiet with the wifey. Best of both worlds ; )

I did put the stock mufflers back with the valve connected. My mechanic pointed out if you put the swith on the steering wheel to rain it shuts the sound off completely. Even with the sound on its not bad in 4th gear on.

Wow... That's great~! You know what? Tell your mechanic to not sell to whoever it is.

    Let's say it's a Ferrarichat priority~! LOL~!

I will be your sure buyer at $1250. I'm getting the 599 GTB today (2007 with 8,100 miles)

I have a company and UPS account so you can use that. Do you have the original boxes? It would be needed to ship to me in CA.

    Congratulations on the new 599!

I will call first thing Monday when they open. He sold it for $1500, but I am sure he will want something for the trouble, so we can work on the price.

Sorry but just go ahead and sell it to them. :-(

I went there to buy the 599. I test drove both manual and SMG. Transmission-wise, they were both good. Unlike what others were saying whether one is better than the other, I think they are both good (IF you are skilled driver for the stick shift).

But the real problem was with the actual car. This was supposed to be an "addition" to my car lines and I also have a 458 Italia. Maybe I'm so much used to this 458 that any other cars feel too "mundane". I expected a little more juice from it but didn't really like it so I decided not to buy one. :-( I was soooo frustrated since I was quite excited to buy one...

Oh well... Now I'm lost in the woods on which car I should add...

    Jay,
I would think the 458 and 599 are two cars with a different mission. I have been trying to sell my 599 for awhile now but cant get what I want for it in a trade or cash deal.
I cant say Iam sorry as the 599 is really a great car and I would love to have a 458 or a scud as a stablemate but no can do,lol..
I have the F1 tranny and love it. The car is a total beast but a refined one when you want it to be. With 600hp and huge torque and great handling manners it has it all.
Its not a track car per say but there are other Ferrari models to scratch that itch(such as your 458)
I added the HGTE handling kit removed the secondary cats and put on Fabspeed straight pipes so now it sounds like a V12 and the kit tightens up the car. I also have the muffler valves open all the time so at idle you can hear it..
Maybe a scud or wait until Ferrari introduces the 458 version of the scud????

Sorry to hear, I love my 599 because of the refinement, but all out power if you want to get on it. Now I want to try the 458:)
