I have the standard Tubi on my '04 360 Spider and I know, I know, it should be loved, but it's getting a little too loud for me on long trips. Does anyone have any ideas or knowledge about a quieter system (other than stock) or a technique as how to soften the sound?

Look into the Remus Sport Exhaust Rear Silencer - might be perfect for your situation if its compatible

I believe Tubi makes a more quiet version for some overseas markets. Have you tried calling them? They are usually pretty good about swapping systems out.

I had the same problem with my maxspeed exhaust and my test pipes. The resonance was killing me too. I took both systems tails to a shop, maxspeed and stock. I swap the valves from the stock system to the maxspeed tails. Wow, i got a perfect tune. It is a little louder than factory at stop but when the valves are full open it sound just amazing!. I also got a better response at low rpm and I reduce the resonance big time. When I feel hard core again I just simple disconect the valves.
It work for me and Im happy with the sound I got but this matter has been discused several times before and I think that is matter of taste of the user of the car.
    Good luck!

I have just ordered a TUBI Evo Silenzia System to my 430. Will first change system and listen, then also change the exhaust manifold from Fabspeed and maybee also change to Fabspeed 200cell downpipe. Have all Fabspeed gear here, just waiting for the Tubi Silenzia system. Will let you know.

I have a caprist on on my 360. I can change the noise level from a switch on the dash. With the flaps closed it sounds pretty much like stock. When I flip the switch it opens the exhaust flaps and is a stage 3 awesome sound.

On another car (Porsche) had the same problem. I installed Vortex Cones (about $200 all in) which cut the noise and resonance enough to make it livable.

If I were you I would get the NOVITEC ROSSO system with flap regulation. This way you can still control everything from the manetino on your steering wheel as well. Their exhaust system sounds incredible when you are on it but is set up so that it can be used in even an daily driver. Did you buy only the tips from Tubi or the complete system including the center can as well. NOVITEC sells the system with just the tips which makes up approx. 80% of the system and is all you really need if you are not looking for the center can to be changed and do not mind the way that the factory can looks. I would give them a shot and see what they can do for you.

+1 on resonance from Tubi ...I'm thinking of changing for this reason. I do like it on the loud side though
