Been a while since I went down this rabbit hole, but as I recall, the XDF files are meta-data files that describe the structure of the EPROMs. This includes address locations, constants, 2D and 3D maps, ranges, formulas, etc.

There were some team efforts to decode the M2.7, and we figured out quite a bit- some confirmed, some theory. While I don't have an XDF file made, I would be happy to provide you with my best guess of a memory address and format for any specific parameter you were looking to tinker with.

Note that some of the data formats have a constant factor, or are padded high or low, so even with a decimal conversion, the numbers you see may not make sense. There is also a checksum that must be corrected if you make any changes, otherwise the ECU will reject the EPROM as damaged.

Either Plugzit or NoDoubt did a decent writeup on the addresses a few years back.

Best I review the goal, as perhaps there is a easier answer out there.

348 Challenge - want to make sure that the map is well matched - and given it's 21yrs old probably time to check it and not just assume the trims will sort it out.

So not looking to find the last bhp, but more just to ensure the map is a good safe map.

So Tuner-Pro seemed like an answer, and yes it needs a XDF file to describe all the areas of the eprom. So please share the info if you can.

But if there is another answer out there - I'll happily try it.

Won't running up on a dyno give you all the info you need in that regard?

I have the map address to the 5.2 only
    I'll check I thought I seen or had them for a 2.7

Like I said they are the address and table types you will need to double check

    Talk to this guy:

www.thePro2DMEeditor.com - Motronic Map Editing Software - Tools for the Tune-It-Yourselfer...

The software isn't the easiest, but he knows his stuff and all spot checks on addresses he provided were legit. He also handles the proper checksum recalc.

He offered a Ferrari only version to me at a discount years back, so may do the same. Very responsive to questions, as well.

If you were highly motivated, you will find all the info in his files to create your own XDF.
