    Here are a couple pics of the ATS turbo package on the back of a 1981 308 GTSi. This will be combined with an efi conversion and make 400hp on e85. We are using an ON3 oilless turbocharger. You have to grease it every 3000 miles. These oilless turbos opened up some great installation options. We put an air to air intercooler where the old CIS fow meter used to be.

    Hi Aaron. Neat installation, what makes the ON3 a better choice? Is it smaller because it doesn't have an oil reservoir? Also, how do think it will go having the intake down there? I thought it might pick up a bit of engine heat? Post some picks from the top side too would be great. I'm always looking for options :)

    There are some heat sources nearby, but also a ton of airflow.

    rear or bottom mount turbos were previously a hassle because you needed a pump to get the oil back to the motor. The pumps are noisy and usually messy.

    Gotcha.

    I was heavily involved in high performance diesel drag racing 15-20 years ago and they were one of the players. They did turbos and transmissions. I never used them because I had my turbos custom built by another company.

    Was just curious if you were connected.

    I’m the A in our ATS. We specialize in Toyota MR2’s, but we also do Ferrari 308 (I own three, two of them are turbocharged) and 348 as well as Lotus Esprit stuff.

    This time I went with a Link Atom. I recently figured out how to get an obd2 data stream on their can bus. This allows me to run a cheap mini dash display that will display things like boost, timing, air fuel, etc.

    Here is a photo of it in my MR2. The top left says air flow, but I actually programmed that to be ethanol percentage. Pretty cool for a $130. I plan to mount it in the center console with a magnet so the owner can pull it and hide it out of the way.

    We are using 500cc injectors with custom 3/8 fuel lines/mini fuel rails.

    Not DIY at this point. I’m looking into that, but demand is fairly low to justify the cost of mass production. Plus we tend to make improvements each time we build one.

    Stock engine.

    The turbo setup also includes a modern efi fuel system and ecu that handles fuel and spark.

    Total cost is about $20k including all the parts, fabrication, installation, and tuning. About half that is the efi and half is the turbo kit.

    These photos are a client car, but my own 308 GTB is in line after it.
