I just got my turbos upgraded... believe me its freakin fast. Please make sure you upgrade the intercoolers too.
My turbos were upgraded by DMS in UK. They also reprogrammed the ECU.

 

I hsve owned a moded 39 Porsche's and had a 650hp 01 tt, first of all turn the damn thing into RWD (that was the first thing I did) then the stock diverter valves are crap, change them. After you do that, drive the car, if you do not like it after that, well if you have a good shop and deep pockets, PM me I'll tell you what to do next. The real trick is to have instant boost right to 1.2 bar, then it is either really fun or really dangerous depending upon your skill.

FVD Brombacher is the best on the planet.....I've spent over $100K with them in the last few years. Talk to Flo (the boss of their US ops) or Rhonda.

Kevin is great for advice on all levels and can custom tune for your application.

The motors internals are supposed to be good for 700HP with the stock clutch limited to 500 or so.
Dont forget to add lightness.

 

I also had a DMS upgrade on my 997 Turbo. They travel all over the world and are highly commended by UK customers.

 

BTW Derek, I didn't just remap the ecu. I also changed the Turbos... bigger mothers that just blows everyone else away.
