Heh........they were able to get the super rare Lexus, but for some reason, the 620 HP lightweight Porsche 997 GT2 RS was conspicuous by it's absence......... I guess Noble was paying the bill for that episode Neat video........thanks !!
IMO the Lexus has been a let down in straightline acceleration, especially given the cost of entry. Obv track #'s may differ. I really want to see a complete test comparo vs the 458 and the upcoming Mclaren.
no, it's a actually 'slower' off the line, and to 60mph. the Turbo S' combo of 4wd grip and PDK makes it ridiculously quick from a standing start..
What's up with the puff of black smoke just as the Porsche crosses the finish line in the final match-up? [edit: Never mind. Watched the slow-mo again and it's an out-of-focus insect flying in the foreground.]
They should have done this race with the GT-R Spec V, that would have been closer to the Turbo S than the standard car. I love the Noble!! But all the cars are brilliant for different reasons.
its true... That car flat out gets it! I am very impressed by the Turbo S. Ill take mine in Riveria/French/Mexico/Smurf/Skittle Blue... or speed yellow... I will never forget falling in love with the 911 for the first time with the Speed Yellow 911 featured in Motor Trends Long term test.... Then I saw the blue one on the different color advertisement... remember the one with the lipsticks? Loved it.
Impressive in stock form indeed, in terms of potentiality the 964 turbo rear drive will always be king ;p http://www.dragtimes.com/Porsche-911-Turbo-Timeslip-14807.html http://www.dragtimes.com/Porsche--911-Turbo-Drag-Racing.html
