Interviewing drivers about the green track. Amazing they all said the track would be better for qualifying. stephen
naturaly Speed TV is behind the true qualifying results JPM 1:27:3 DC 1:28:9 CK 1:29 JV no time RD no time
Dornbos NO TIME he's JUST ON FIRE acutually his Brakes or diff? Montoya 1:27.352 JV NO TIME he SPUN. Will he change tires? stephen
Just turned it on, and yes, SpeedTV is behind. As soon as I saw "MS No Time" I looked up, and moments later MS spun in that chicane. GF is P1 with a 1:27.039 Kimi on track now....faster in S1
KR now P1 with a 1:26.797 Wow, this is gonna be an interesting grid! MS and JV at the back, GF and FA 2nd & 3rd with those rediculous Renault starts. Fuel is gonna be the issue though. I'm gonna guess that KR is light, so he can jump out at the start and get a lead. The fight for 2nd is gonna be good though, with GF, FA, and JPM right there, most likely on similar fuel loads. Boy, Ferrari is having a BAD time in Turkey! I was amazed to hear the MS has spun 7 times so far this weekend?!?!? And I know I saw RB spin at least twice in Friday practice. MS's spin today just looked like he flat out lost it, like Malaysia 2004. Possibly too much front brake, thats why he spun under the hard braking? But I think they are going to have an EXTREMELY tough time this weekend. I never thought I'd see Ferrari cars spin 10 times on Friday and Saturday alone, something is obviously not right.
Do you get SpeedTV from DISH or DirectTV, seems that they work their commericals into the feed slowing down the feed. I was talking on the pnone to a fellow F! fan (I can't remember the race, not this year) and I was wathing the race and he was watching Podium. He has Cox cable, I had Dish. Then I got DirectTV same thing, now back with Dish. Live in the country can't get cable. So stuck with dial-up internet also. sorry to get slightly off subject. Seems that Kimi is the ICEMAN on the track not off. stephen
I actually also use Cox Cable. I'd say it was about 15 seconds difference between when I saw Beast's post "MS No Time" and when he actually spun on my feed. But that may have been posted for a minute or 2 before I read it.
Seems quite a tricky track and maybe we will see more 'moments' in the race itself. I hope it will be good for overtaking. Ciao, Peter
Sato ended up interfering with Mark Webber's flying lap. And this is what Sato had to say: "I didn't have an update on the radio on what was happening so maybe some problem," Sato said. "I didn't know he was catching me until I just saw him right behind me and I'm very sorry about that." Lol, wake up.
Rubens still not pushing... Ross Brawn: "Rubens was unable to lap as quickly as we had expected. I think Michael might just have scraped into a top six position if he had not gone off, which with the fuel load he was carrying and an expected consistent performance in the race." Jean Todt said they will change the engine in Michaels car.
I have to say that Sato really is a moron, for what he did to Webber. He didn't have radio contact, what a fool, I guess before there was radio contact with the teams the drivers did the same foolish stuff! Hardly, this guy has to go, last year when he had the second best car he did alright, this year he has shown without a good car, nada. Boy I hope he gets replaced by Heidfeld, or Button stays at BAR. Either way he has shown zip this year.
From what i could tell Speed was 5-10 behind the live timing at the end. So much for live qualifying.
You're right. The only good GP he is going to give us will be in Brazil in front of his home fans. Put Gene in the Ferrari or go get Massa right away.
Did you guys hear the interview with Fisico and the left handed compliment he made to Rubens? It was something like "I was very conservative in the first two sectors. I was so slow even Rubens was close." ROTFLMAO Rubens, the new Minardi? This grid should make for a dynamite race. Can't wait to see it and that track is simply superb. Finally a real track again.
I missed the Sato blunder, what exactly happened? I don't see how there is any excuse for being in someone's way on your cooldown lap. I mean, shouldn't he be going slowly to the side anyways? He obviously knew that he didn't win the last race, so there's no way he could be the final one out. He HAD to know there was someone coming behind him. I've been one of the "pro-Sato" guys for a while, because he can flat out drive. He just doesn't know how to make it last for the full race distance without screwing up. But this is just a dumb move by him, and it may be the last straw for him at BAR. I'd hate to see him go, but there's other better drivers for that car than him.
