I don't see how there is any excuse for being in someone's way on your cooldown lap. I mean, shouldn't he be going slowly to the side anyways? He obviously knew that he didn't win the last race, so there's no way he could be the final one out. He HAD to know there was someone coming behind him.

I've been one of the "pro-Sato" guys for a while, because he can flat out drive. He just doesn't know how to make it last for the full race distance without screwing up. But this is just a dumb move by him, and it may be the last straw for him at BAR. I'd hate to see him go, but there's other better drivers for that car than him.

I have Mark's full qualifying lap from onboard. Mark tries to take the racing line for Turn 9, but Sato is right in the way and he has to go down the inside, giving Sato a hand gesture as he does.

Then on his cooldown lap, Mark says "What was Sato doing, for f*ck's sake?!"

The team responds "We know Mark, we know."
