Maybe FOX? They broadcasted a few races last year I think.

What is Fox thinking (when have I asked that before? ;) ) a tape delay of a race no one attends and few in the States watch.

I never understand why they don't still air it live on Speed. Cover both worlds: The real fans and the newbies later on with a convenient time on a channel everybody gets.

makes too much sense besides look at the great programs you can watch on Speed starting at 6 am tomorrow while the F1 race is occuring:

    Consumer Showcase - yipee
Hot Rod TV - vroom, vroom
Gearz- LARC 60 whatever the sam hill that is

Speed is also screwing with the Grand Am race at Watkins Glen this afternoon. It's a 6 hour race and they are on at 2 with it and at 4 the race is not carried in lieu of an arca/remax race (whopee, second rate nascar) and back on at 6 for 2.5 hours. Oh well.. thank goodness we have the internet and follow events without being totally dependent on Speed TV.

No kidding... what a ridiculous way to air this race!

I thought Fox had a deal where they get two-three races per year. I always thought it was Monaco, Montreal and Indy. With 2 of those 3 gone, it looks like they picked others. But like you said Dave, Turkey has to be the worst!

Maybe they are just rebelling by making sure the ratings are horrible so they can justify canning the coverage next year.

3 PM eastern is a prime TV watching slot for Americans---after the traditional Sunday dinner and into the den to relax. But I really wish they would show it live and uncut on Speed first and let the more pedestrian fans watch the lite version at 3.

I think they sluffed F1 off on Fox so Speed could cover NASCAR reruns during the live F1 timeslot.
