    Hey there Ferraristi !!!

Any of you boys have a reasonable or simple fix for turn signals not working on a 79 308 GTS???

I am replacing the flasher "barrel" on the fuse board first......but what else to do????

    Thanks

    Mitch

Do the hazard switch/lights work? If so, the flasher relay is ok and the trouble can be in the turn switch OR at the hazard switch (even though hazards work a problem there can kill the turn signals). If neither switch works, replace the flasher relay with common one available from the parts store. Even though the problem still may be elsewhere you need to go through this inexpensive step.

If hazards lights work and turn signal doesn't, the problem lies at the turn signal or wiring to the turn signal or hazard switch (repeat-even though hazards work the hazard switch can still kill the turn signals).

If still neither hazards or turns are working, with hazards switch off, when switching the turn lever right or left, do the lights come on/stay on? If not, when flipping hazard switch on, do lights come on/stay on?

Have you done anything to the car recently before this happened? Turn signal wires have worked their way off the hazard switch when working in the console.

Agreed, sounds like typical HAZARD switch problem. Use some CAIG MCL, just spray a bit into the HAZARD switch, move the switch back and forth a few times.
