Most made-for-Netflix content is disposable, they're rehashing the cable-TV business model but without evident interest in HBO-type writing quality. Plenty of left / anti-trump / woke propaganda too.

Their series about the Central Park rape was an insult to your intelligence, casting cute 14 year old actors to play the monsters who raped an innocent women to near death.

 

Jennifer Aniston is very watchable.

For me, Adam Sandler is about as funny as a fart in a spacesuit.

I just don't find him remotely funny. I couldn't watch anything with him in it.

However, hasn't he accumulated some coin playing characters with the intelligence of a nine year old.

I got roped into watching "Designated Survivor" on Netflix.

It started out very well, however after seven or eight episodes I stopped watching.


I had hopes of it being as good as "West Wing." Turned out to be more Kanye West. Not believable at all.

 

Netflix does have some excellent series

Ozark is really good so is Season 1 of The OA

 

Well at least he doesn't need to act outside his persona......unlike some of the really crappy ones of today: Tom Hanks,Leonardo DiCaprio,Cate Blanchett,Russell Crowe et al.....

 

Peaky blinders is a good show on Netflix

Also saw Rocketman lastnight ...... meh, strange presentation with people singing to each other

Seems all the latest movies are about poof rock stars (Freddie, Elton) searching to be loved

I'm looking forward to Yesterday, it seems to have a good story line

 

She is, but if you read what he wrote about her I kinda believe it.

Sandler is a ****wit, never liked him.

I haven't had time to watch ANY tv shows on Netflix and don't intend to start watching any soon, although I get asked everyday by someone "Pap, have you watched this series on Netflix" lol

I believe there would be great content on there, but I like watching movies when I can.

 

A headsup for you insomniacs tonight,at 11.15 The Gumball Rally is on 70 after Fast and Furious.

 

Saw Yesterday movie, bit of a chick flick but if you are a Beatles fan it's quite funny

One of the better movies I've seen lately but I am looking forward to the new Spiderman movie

 

Should have gone to the Beatles movie last week instead of "Heavy Water" - supposed to be a bigwave surf movie but ended up a documentary about a bunch of wankers... the small number of wave shots WERE awesome though.
