We walked by after eating elsewhere so not this trip but the locals said it was one of the best steakhouses in Manhattan- Which is saying a lot I've eaten at the Delmonicos in Palazzo in Vegas and it was amazing so if the same group I would imagine even better in NY. Cheers

Did anyone see the Miss Fisher episode last night and know what the large yellow vehicle in the early parts was? I’m guessing Renault as the badge was kinda diamond shaped , but quite odd in that it was 30s style car but no exposed radiator (forward facing vents down the sides)
Sorry I didn't think you wanted a full critique on the busted arse ugly slow and unreliable POS! Thanx for that Mr 500 Karen would be going spare without your reply
That’s what I was wondering - can’t find any engine bay images online; a search for Renault KZ brings up a lot of stuff in Cryrillic so they must have been popular in Kazakstan! The last iteration DID have a front radiator form the pics I found.
'Sigh'........The things I do. Here is a forum on 1 of these things. Go to the 4th post and look at the LHS LOWER pic you'll see the rad. Go to the 19th,21 and 22 posts and the explanation of it's position is clear. https://www.aussiefrogs.com/forum/index.php?threads/1927-renault-kz2.108840/
Yep, excellent thank you! Wonder WHY they did that? And what was all the empty space forward of the engine under that tall hood used for?
Because the car is front wheel drive, the engine is reversed with the water inlet to the rear, gearbox to the front. 1920's cars usually didn't have water pumps, they used simple convection to transfer heat, hence the radiator has to be close to the water inlet & outlet.
Ah! Thanks for that! Never knew front wheel drive was done that early, so lots learned thanks to Miss Fisher (and the Fchat Aussie Brains Trust of course!)
