Watching the "Addicted to Money" Doco on the ABC. Very interesting. 3 part series, should be fun.

Part 1 was very good. I always wondered how these banks bought all this bad debt. I thought they did due dillergence on everything, they had guys on 6 figure salaries obviuosly not doing their job. I know if I want to borrow money I've gotta put the wife and kids up as well. Its tough being the small guy. Looking forward to Part 2 next week.

Got a DVD in the mail today, just a bunch of red cars and some dodgy lookin old blokes

SH was brilliant, needed subtitles at times to catch all he was saying, RDjr is quite good and carried it off very well

I think this was a good 'lead-in' movie for the future showdown with Moriaty

 

I liked the sections where he explained his deductive reasoning about how he was going to do things , like when he was in the fight

I saw Aviator (tm Bobby) and thought it was your typical American twaddle hyped out of all proportion, very well done but nobody believes good triumphs over evil, never has never will

 

They should rename

Would explain why its more popular outside of the USA.

Had they used China instead of the USA as the "bad" guys it would of been a documentary.

Agreed, the silliest plot I've seen for a long time. Continues the well established maxim of the more expensive the special effects, the more stupid the story.

The director is Canadian, they have something of a chip on their shoulder about the US...

 

The sex scene was very poor, IMO - no Ts & Bs at all.....

Change of subject but still with TV......anyone catch the Goodwood revival segment on HDone last night? It was mostly silly, but the little racing shown was great. Much as it pains me to mention it, the lwt E Type was very well driven and thoroughly deserved to win the 1 hour GT race. In fact, the GT race was awash with the d*mn things, must have needed a truckload of cement after....

The big banger sports car race was a bit - um, destructive.

 

My friend EP was racing a LWT the ex Hill car.
