I'm considering a used (00-01) Tuscan. Any comments on the ownership experience? I know about the batch of bad engines, besides that, how do they drive?

I've driven a Chimera and it felt like a Mustang GT convertible, haven't drive a Tuscan yet. I can pick one up for about US$35k, which seeems like a decent buy comparing what you can get for that money, it's still quite a new car with decent low mileage. I'm particularly attracted to the unique bodystyle.

The bad engines...may not be limited to just a batch. :(

Also, watch out for the very quick steering ratio in the earlier cars. It can drag you around by the nose and whip the rear around...quickly followed by loss of control and disaster. The digital instrument binnacle is also problematic.

When the car runs right, though, it's simply glorious and makes you forget everything!
