Reminded of this classic first season Twilight Zone episode by the wonderful story of "The Shepard". If you have some time, the whole episode is on Youtube in 3 parts. Do a quick search there.

Without giving too much away, it's about a RFC pilot who comes back from a sortie in 1917 WW1 to land on an American Airbase in Europe in the 1950s.

The story sounds very interesting. It also seems vaguely familiar. I wonder if I saw it when The Twilight Zone was on TV. I am going to have see about finding the episode. Right now my computer set up is a Curtis Jenny equivalent: it gets me there most of the time, but is very slow. I can't handle on-line video.

The idea of how a person would react if placed in a different era is intriguing. Have you seen the movie where a nuclear aircraft carrier passes through an electromagnetic storm and finds itself in Hawaiian waters on the morning of Dec 7, 1941? The movie is pretty good and only succumbs to stupidity in a few places. There is some great flying and the Tomcats are always a treat to see. I think the title is "The Final Countdown".

I loved that movie but was a little disappointed when they were unable to change history. ;)
