    Thank you to all who have posted on this thread. It took me back to my formative years when my dad took me to Union Grove Dragstrip owned by "Broadway Bob". I remember seeing: Chicago Patrol, the Chi town hustler, Blue Max, The Snake and The Mongoose, Hemi under Glass, Big Daddy Don Garlitz and Shirley Cha-Cha Muldowney. I don't remember much but I do remember the races were always on Sunday, Sunday, Sunday. It was loud and I loved it. I go every year to see the Drags. Here is a pic I took at the D-1 Drift and drags. There's nothing like the thump of a jet car. It penetrates the body like nothing else.
