There is a twin-turbo CS for sale on eBay. First I've heard of someone doing this to a CS. Was posted on 11/08. The owner is claiming 650 hp at the wheels.

    Interesting car.

While I bet its a monster, can't help but feel they have lowered the value. Probably won't bring what a standard, unmolested CS would sell for.

What's the problem with putting turbos on it? You think it's going to blow the engine or wear out parts much faster? Seems to me like exactly what the Stradale is missing: extra power.

Why even do something like this? At some point "more" is not better as evidenced by Novitec's latest debacle....

I mean, do you really want a 600+hp car that will pretty much try to kill you every time you go out and 'try' to drive it. I dunno, call me an ol' codger or something, but everytime I think I want more I just floor it and downshift to 3rd and wind out those gears to 5th. Then I think... yup, this is plenty scary enough....

The phase "Too much power = too little skill" applies at all power levels.

The car that produced these 1/4 mile acceleration time slips, which I drove on the street regularly, taught me to respect the throttle. I likened it to owning a powerful handgun. Not particularly useful in daily life, but very entertaining in the right surroundings.

My concern with the TT CS is not that it has too much power, but that it may have too little engineering. Debugging a car after a significant power increase is always expensive, and I'd expect that to be magnified by a power of ten with a Ferrari.

Yeah I'd agree with that. I don't hear a lot of Enzo or McLaren owners complaining that they have too much power.

I know a lot of cars like the M3 (and the NSX I believe) which are both a little underpowered do very well and have long productive lives with superchargers bolted on, but for a car like the CS that is already tweaked to its "limit", it's probably going to be an expensive car to own.

The CS isn't down on power; its down on low end torque. It has what it needs in the RPM range for what the car was designed (which is not drag-racing).

The gaga crowd that drools when they hear about a turbo or supercharged CS (or other ferrari) should pay attention to the quote about because its 100% true. I've walked the talk doing specialized supercharged projects and it usually does involve nightmares, especially when you break down and not a single bonafide dealer will look at it. And, as correctly said, working the rpms in the high reving CS produces surges of power at higher speeds. Shed another 40lbs (sports cats, lithium lightweight battery) and add hyperflow cats (30hp) and your CS can sneak up on a Scuderia.
