Phil we can only be amazed if Tony takes the car on the track, which I have seen no inclination thus far to occur. Tony has nothing to prove IMO, I don't understand the "issues" that appear to be alluded to here. I just want to see another fast Ferrari on the track being used in anger. Whether it is being driven to 60%, like my car, or 110% of its potential is irrelevant. I'm just looking for more F car participation. I am giving up a PIARC day at PI to attend, because I have so publicly made my position known on non participation by FCA members on track days. So Ton forget all the BS, just contact one of us if you don't have the relevant contact details and enjoy sharing a day of Ferrari passion with fellow nut cases.
have you read the WHOLE thread ?? he has NEVER said one word about touching anything but the engine or tyres I must admit I don't find it amazing because if you can get 1000hp or whatever out of a ricer and they hang together forever (supposedly I'm told) then why shouldn't a Ferrari (where the engine is everything) be able to achieve the same
Phil, I mean REALLY...if i wanted to turbo my car, I would. I know exactly where to go (i've been told often enough)
Actually PP, due to your supreme "knob like" status, I think you're the only one that couldn't buy this kit...
Sorry Stephen, i know you want a response from Ton here.. But what exact blow off valve or valves is the car running?
I'm not sure of it's blow off valves branding, but they're very subtle and quiet, you can hardly hear them at all, in fact it's hard to tell it's turbo'd by ear, as even the exhaust sounds similar to std. All questions will be answered on the day... if you think Ton would bring his car out to Calder and NOT have it circulating..... how would that help to show the turbo conversion off? It's done enough 1/4 miles in front of the drag crowd to prove itself. A few laps in front of the track boys will complete the approval..... His car also has the brembo big brake conversion on front, so it CAN stop ok too.
if the car club lets me go onto the track yes l would love to. what man wouldn,t car runs two bosch blow off valves, one on each bank. blow off and turbo noise is there under load
Tony You can download the entry form from the www.fcavic.com.au web site. Contact Doug, his contact details are on the site, I hope he can fit you in.
phil could you find out if its full . the entry says a max of 50 cars does it matter that l am not a member
Do you have a CAMS license? I have left a message for Doug. If there is room, we can enter your car, with you as driver on my wifes membership. That would just leave ou to sign for a temp CAMS license on the day, which costs $85 from memory.
Update, spoke to Doug, he will be able to issue temp CAMS license on the day. I have tentively reserved a spot for you. Let me know, as Doug would like an entry faxed through to him by the weekend, so he can organise the paperwork. Stephen
Good point(s). Both not wanting the turbo.. your choice, although you do have the PERFECT recepticle for it and your point about CAMS licence too... so if not CAMS, what license would be needed, if any?
