I know!! That's why I have to knock Vic, it makes me feel better about not living there ;)
Pee pee.... NEVER. What has this got to do with twin turbo 355's... How dare you guys take this thread off topic again.....
Yes and I so look forward to your posts Philly as I know you NEVER take threads off topic... like crap Let's see, we have a 355 hairdresser driving homophobe trying to show he's not a bit girly by chucking some turbos on it, a **** stirring smart ar5e giving everyone that bites a wind-up, a few hangers-on that will do anything to show they can play too, and an egostistical mechanic that's trying to please the guy that's just spending $20k... gee, no hidden agendas here are there boys... so why don't the lot of US just kiss and make up... or would that be too gay, too nice, or risk our incomes too much ???
this topic has some merit, and a world wide interest, so it should be kept as topical as possible. Most of the Aussie topics are just rambling, so they can go anywhere. did you see the I put in? egotistical....? No. Enthusiastic and confident, with a history to back it up. I've just been ear bashing an 18yr old cousin of mine for being a big wet drip. It's calling people that have opinions "egotistical", that messes with the current kids heads and turn them into either idiots or drips. As for my income.... ask 360C what kind of margins I make on parts. He knows more than most recently.
Come in spinner! C'mon philly, we all need a certain amount of ego otherwise we'd be like the people that dream of owning a ferrari but 'know' they'll never get one. As to your income I don't give a ****. As to anyone elses, I don't give a ****. Doesn't impact me so why should I care? But are you saying you're not influenced by a customer who is spending a considerable amount of $$ with you (regardless of the margins, it's still revenue and adds to the value of your biz)? Are you saying that you support peasant-like xenophobic (I had too throw that in) comments???? Are you saying you agree that "this was a ferrari forum not a f**ken poo*ters chat forum .this talk about poofs like pp makes me sick, these forums are for ferraris and if you can not control yourselves you can just fu*k off"? No, I didn't think so. Sure, going off topic is a pain; however, it is a reality of this chat site. Two choices, ban everyone that goes off topic (everyone leave now), or cope and ignore off-topic threads. Anyway, Ton needed to be pulled up on his mindless, weak-dicked homophobic comments. You all jumped in so I thought I'd take the opportunity now, everyonme touch their toes (if you can still see them )
Ton hasn't spent $1 with me before now or even yet. actually, sorry, he had a 1kg fire ext' off me for the track day, that he fitted himself... so he's spent $60. and FYI, he has his own fabrication resource, so he'll make his own suspension mounts.. I'm just speccing the shocks and installing them. It's not a big spend with me at all.... FYI I'm just a huge fan and massively impressed with the performance of his car.... and want to see it deliver lap times that relate to its potential. and you're far to wordy for me... xenophobia is one of the greek goddesses isn't she...?
did you have a bad day Mark ?? enjoy the time we have on this earth mate, it's too short and it's easier to be friends than enemies. I've had invaluable help from most of you guys and appreciate it and enjoy meeting you guys for the GP dinners we have and pawing over the cars at the motorshow, it's fun and a shedload better than working Gimme a call whenever you p!ssed off I can ignore you as well as anyone else
yeah but I couldn't work out which ****-stirrer he was talking about, we have so many (but I did think of you ) sometimes we lose the sense of humour amongst all the dribble
see, and with you peepee, it's the opposite I know what your car could do, and find it hilarious that you can't even get close, yet your slimy "booshi" way of coming across seems to fool some people that you are a nice person, when really..... you're not. You wouldn't know sincerity if it were written on a hammer and pounded into your skull.....
were you still asleep when you wrote this? usually i understand what you're getting at, even if it's occasionally wrong...but this time, i have no idea.
nah, pretty good day actually. I thought I was pretty accurate Besides, everyone I knocked (except Ton only because I haven't met him properly yet) I consider a mate, including Phil, PP and even you and reckon they enjoy a good stoush as much as me
errm, where's the handlebar??? hmmm and nothing but when does that matter? Perhaps I should start a red pushbike thread
Hi Guys, I'm currently living in London, and have been looking at this thread for a little while now. I've been toying with the idea of getting myself a 355 for a little while now, as they're relatively cheap here ( depending on condition, £35,000 and upwards ). In $AU, this is quite affordable, about the same as a high spec holden commonwhore ( for all you aussies out there, pontiac GTO for the seppo's ). But, I have to be honest, I find the price of the TT upgrade expensive. Yes, I understand the IP issue, however when I look at APS and their twin turbo installation for the Holden Commodore \ Pontiac GTO ( http://www.airpowersystems.com.au/ls1/us_gto.htm ), the cost is far, far less. Why is the cost so much more expensive on a car that, from what I understand about Tony's experience, seems to be able to handle it without too much change to any of the internals at all? Maybe answering my own question here, but I also understand theres an issue with R&D, and recouping the initial investment over X number of sales, and that APS will generate quite a few sales via Australia and the US ( and also possible middle eastern markets where the Commodore is also sold ), but I would genuinely appreciate some comments on this. Whilst on the subject, I have been thinking of going for an Ultima GTR, and get that twin turbo'd, using APS's solution, as it seems far cheaper. Sorry for going off topic with this last bit. Cheers, Rob
APS uses a relatively cheap piggy back ECU (not that there is anything wrong with this approach), which makes it a lot cheaper for a start. I think at around 1/2 the price, even without as much performance, they would start seeing people buy the kits.
I've been watching this thread with extreme interest and I'd also consider it more seriously if the price was lower. I'm still hoping to see some video of it in action. Does anyone have anything they could share? I've seen the drag strip already and would love to see more/different footage.
APS uses a unichip and is indeed around half the price of a fully blown engine management system like motec. However, it still represents only a small fraction of the total outlay. Looking at another Aussie tuner, Amberly Auto's, these guys will do a twin turbo upgrade to an LS1 chev motor for $16,000, resulting in approx 370kw at the wheels. See the article here: http://autospeed.drive.com.au/cms/A_2649/article.html Just because this particular machine is a Ferrari, it seems to have roughly tripled the price of the kit ( approx $47,000 ) in this application. If Nizpro were to match the price structure of Amberly, I'd be happy to go for this. Greg? Any chance of putting together the kit and shipping it to the UK for the quoted price minus installation (which would be done here of course)?
