I made a few passes at the drag strip last night... started out at 11.40@134 and worked my way down to [email protected]!!

At which point I was asked to leave by managment, due to a lack of fire ext, roll cage, and flame retardent racing gear!!

This car amazes me, it just kept giving a little more each time out. Thank you Jason Heffner and crew!!

For the 1/4 mile guys.... I launched at 5k , feathered thru first gear and went full out 2nd thru 5th. I am sure there is some more trap speed left and a 1.50-10.60 ET. Track temp was around 80 degrees, humid.

In the video ... the first run ... what the hell is that in the lane next to you that gave you quite a run for your money? A Tacoma?

I'd bet it was a Ford Lightning F150. I have a friend that built a mid 1990's Ford Lightning to run in the high 8's at around 175 mph. They ran a single turbo with around 30 pounds of boost and an ice water to air intercooler. Trucks can be reallll fast too. Nice runs in the Lambo! It would be great if they let you take the long weay back after the 1/4 mile and get a few fast turns in for each drag run you did.

The NHRA 11.50 rule for production cars sucks. It really put a damper on some folks in another enthusiast group attempting to find just how fast a fully stock example would go. Times started in the 11.70's and then they dropped into the 11.50's and one by one they all got booted from their local tracks. The fastest guy got his times by driving around to different tracks and getting booted, sometimes on first runs. Finally got a 10.89...

Vroom, was there more for the car to give when they booted you? Might have to road-trip that thing looking for fast times...

Did you by any chance do a baseline pre-turbo?

He did. Berbard is on a trip for a few days. I'm not sure what it was though.
I'm thinkibg 117-118 mph 11.7 or 11.8. He'll respond withb exact when he returns.

Yeah there was more to give.....Each pass was getting a little faster, I started out in the low 11's. We have a private track day scheduled next month... no worries about being booted for that one!

Thanks man! btw, my fastest baseline pass in stock trim was 11.89@118mph, with a 1.73 60ft time. That was a perfect run, on a perfect day(high 60's temperature). A stock G is good for around 12@116-117mph, so a tt Gallardo makes more than a second faster ET and almost 20mph improvement on the traps. Incredible performance increase for the money spent!
