    I have two minor but nagging problems with my 82 308 GTSi;

    1. The panel that covers the fuse panel in the passenger side of the car keeps falling off. There appears to be a hole in the lower left cornor of the panel and a corresponding hole in the frame of the dash. Is there something missing on my car that should be inserted through these holes to hold the panel?

    2. When the weather turns cold in New York, my directional signals cease to work. The relay clicks and buzzes but there are no turn signals (the relay is new). As soon as the temperatures reach 70 the problem goes away. Any ideas?

    PS: If anyone is interested in seeing my 308 it appears briefly on You Tube. If you go to the you tube site and type in "Italian Car Rally" you will get a series of clips. Go to the second clip listed and watch it. The film was shot from a 360 Modena as it follows a silver Lambo Diablo. They make a U turn and then a second U turn. As they are making the second turn you will see my black 308 pull next to the Modena on the right and follow the silver Diablo. We had over forty cars in this rally in Oct. including a dozen Gallardos, a Diablo and a Murcielago spyder together with alot of 360 and 355 Ferraris, a 328 and two 308's including mine. There was also one Maserati Cambiocorsa.
    The State troopers alowed us to use a two mile section of highway for a brief time. I was traveling with the other 308 and the 328 and was reading 140 mph on the speedo when we were passed by several gallardos and eventually by the murcielago who must have been going close to 170+. We lost our police escort on our way to a wine tasting at a North Shore Long Island winery and no one had warned the local police we were coming. I, together with the other 308 and 328 was stopped for doing 120 mph in a 45 zone. Fortunately, although I am a chem professor, I work part time as a Marine Police officer and my wife is a local ADA. The police yelled at us but let us go. A mile ahead they had a road block and the whole rally was stopped. We were lucky that only two tickets were written to a gallardo and a 360 modena that had actually run from police and even their tickets were reduced from 120+ mph in a 45 zone to 70.

    Doc,
    For the fuse box, there should be a little pin that sticks out of the wall and that is for the hole in the fuse box panel.
    If your signals don't work when it get cold out, It's probably a power problem. Look at the fuse box connections. Or it could be a weak battery.
