    First, does anyone know what type of plating is on the washer fluid tank bracket? It looks like zinc or a light yellow chromate finish on top of zinc. I want to get it re-plated and wondered what it was originally.

    Also, is there supposed to be a rectangular heat shield between the bottom of the fuel distributor and the rear header on a US car attached to the rear engine compartment wall? The auxiliary air hose from the AAV to the fuel distributor is really close to the header. Just wondering!

    yes on the finish light yellow chromate finish on top of zinc


    and yes there is supposed to be a rectangular heat shield above the exhaust header on US and Euro cars.

    Thanks for the input! I am missing the heat shield and I will have the bracket palted with yellow chromate over zinc.
