Hello all from a newbie to the forum. I'm enjoying my first Ferrari, a low mileage F430 Spider, but I need help with two trivial but irritating things : - 1 : how can I reduce the volume of, or better diasable, the beep that accompanies reverse on my F1 gearbox? I've installed really good aftermarket rear parking sensors with their own beep and so it's unnecessary and distracting. - 2 : how can I increase the volume of the ticker sound that should accompany the indicators? It's inaudibly quiet and therefore too easy to drive for miles with theme things blinking when the steering doesn't reset the indicator on its return to centre. Some audible indication would be really useful. Thanks folks.
On no. 2, you could have a busted relay. When I bought my 430, I wondered why the indicator sound was pretty weak. Apparently, there is a relay that makes an electronic sound as well as the mechanical sound
BTW Welcome to FChat and congrats on your 430. Post some pics of your car. We always like photos around here.

Lifetime dream as all my heroes played one at the height of their powers. Acquired '99, loved and cherished ever since. And played a lot. Now about my queries on my F430...???
Here's a tip: If you want others to keep your threads on topic you might want to keep them there yourself.
I don't post pics of my cars on my guitar forums for the same reason. OK, now, back to the "burst"........just kidding, but please PM me the details. Alden
Sorry if I've offended or broken protocol, Kevin. Just trying to be friendly. I'd take more notice if and when someone had something useful to say. So far no one has yet emerged on this thread who really knows what they're talking about or can help. Now returning to thread topic as recommended by my new best friend Kevin - has anybody got a solution? Pretty please. Further 'helpful' comments discouraged, thanks.
My F430 Spider has the same issue with a virtually inaudible turn signal repeater. I asked John Heim, who was the chief service guy at FoSF and now has an independent shop in San Rafael. He told me they're all like that. Just like a motorcycle, I need to remember... I can't wait for self-driving cars. Not.
