    I am considering to order the 599 in a two tone paint, means the roof colour different from the body colour to underline the shape of the C pillars of the 599´s roof line. I would be grateful to get pics to get ideas of the colour combination to take.

    That would look great. It seems that "old school" two-tone is making a classy comeback. See the Zagato rebodied 575 for influence. I think it looks dapper.

    I personally find that the 599 design with all the air scoops and the rear aerodynamic shape in the exhaust area has a more 430 like agressive tendency. If you have a discreet two tone paint on the 599 and the normally black painted exhaust area will be painted in the same colour as the rest of the body and if even the choice of interieur colours and materials are held in warm colours then the 599 appearance becomes more like a "Gentlemens Express".

    Thanks for all your replies. I am tending to have the roof only painted in a different colour and to have the body held in one colour only. The wing form of the C pillars as a charakter of the 599 deserve to be pointed out.

    the 2tone 612 is growing on me more and more (so is the design)
    i like the 2tone blue and the Cavallino Classic last January better than the burgandy tho... here is a link to a photo

    perhaps just the roof. heres a quikie. also tinted the windows a bit to match the black roof.

    Maybe they could do a cf roof or turn the whole thing into one big sunroof with that electrochromic technology they put on the superamerica. what do you guys think?

    the sunroof would be a cool idea but it would turn it into an oven on a hot day.
    i like the Photochop with the two grey colors.

    Knowing DEETriot as I do, I'd say this color combo might work well there. Just add 24 inch wheels and you're set to roll down Woodward for the annual Cruise in August.

    IMO, however, its bloody awful and it just makes a bad style MUCH MUCH worse.

    Im not sure of the 2tone styling, it comes down to colour choices I guess... Reminds me of the Veyron tho...

    Thanks for all your replies.

    Look at the 250 GT LWB Berlinetta, s/n 0515, with blue bodywork and white roof. This colour combination underlines the characterfull design of this Ferrari in a very discreet but attractive way. Imagine the 599 in a similar colour combiniation.
    The car configurator at http://www.bugatti-configurator.com/bugatti_de.html gave me some additional input.
