Ok, I know i'm probably opening a can of worms right now but I have to ask, has anyone here gone to Universal Autosports for a detail? I've heard a lot of good things about Detailing Dynamics and the work that they do but I'm on a budget and UA is running a special on a car detail and I was wondering if I should go that route. Any experiences guys? Thanks in advance.

Always remember. What you pay is what you get. I believe that you want the best for your car and Detailing Dynamics is the way you should go. I wouldn't trust anyone to work on my car my car even if it was free. The Detailing Dynamics guys are the best in what they do.

is that why they left your tail pipes so bright and shiny? and how can you pass judgement, have you used the other company? and since you make such a statement and have used dd, what makes them the best? please help me understand?

I purposely told DD not to bother with my tail pipes because I am replacing them. As far as UA, I never used them and that's why I have no personal feedback for their services. I can only speak from my experience with DD.

If your asking for personal experience I can only vouch for DD 5 Star. Im sure Universal is good also. Speak to both , try to compare apples to apples make your decision.

thats more of a fair response to racers question. as i said, i have never used dd and i dont doubt that they are a very good shop, many will agree im sure. but we need to keep in mind that universal is a very different shop than dd, they do almost everything in automotive with over 125 years of collective experience among the group, that speaks for itself

Personal experience works for me. I'm just trying to make an informed choice and not spent too much.

Thank you for the kind words hexxman. As for our detailing services, Racer you can rest assured that we do outstanding work! Universal specializes in exotic automobiles and most owners are very particular, and we have always surpassed everyone’s greatest expectations. We are a full service facility and we offer many services, most of which are performed in house. So please feel free to contact our service manager, Anthony Simone at 516-801-8201. Good Luck!!

You should simply drive down to each one of them and see the way things are done. There is no better way to judge then with your own eyes and ears :)

Detailing Dynamics is an amazing shop... They are first quality technicians. I live in Central NJ, and make the 100 mile R/T drive for them to work on my cars. They specialize in detailing and paint correction. I doubt a dealer can provide the same service that they do - just the same as UAS can sell exotic cars better than Detailing Dynamics can.

Knowing the guys at Universal, I am sure they do a great job, but no shop compares to Detailing Dynamics, and anyone who has been there can attest to the attention to detail and quality in the work they do.

I have countless amazing high-end cars go in and out of there, and I haven't heard of one client say anything other than the work that DD does is fantastic. I am sure this thread will show you that others, like me, who have used DD also feel that their work is superior to anyone else's.

    Best of luck! ;)

I agree with Notoboy. I am sure UA does a fine job but I have no experience with them and I can vouch for the work DD does as being the best I've seen. I'm no expert, but I've seen enough to know a job well done and they constantly do it.

I've only taken my cars to Detailing Dynamics for the clear bra and detailing. They are expensive but they are worth every penny.

One look at the Detailing Dynamics shop will answer that... They're the ONLY ones I would trust and certainly the only one I recommend.

Um...just to be clear, that wasn't a solicitation.

If anything that was an appropriate response to the question asked.

I haven't used either but know of DD's reputation as being one of the best in the business.

That being said, I got the same email solicitation from UA today and the price is certainly attractive. Now just need to know what you get for those dollars.

I believe we all want to learn about and enjoy our cars , not constantly try to incite altercations.
